I am the Communities in Schools Site Coordinator at S.C. Lee Junior High. I am looking forward to being a part of the S.C. Lee Cougars, supporting your students in the 2022/2023 school year. As the Communities in Schools Site Coordinator, it is my goal to provide a safe environment that promotes positive decision-making skills, character building skills, and supportive guidance. A specific focus is to be available to any student that has or had a parent deployed through the military. Deployment groups, as well as other groups, will be available to your child to address concerns while providing support and encouragement from their peers.

Communities in Schools is focused on providing your child with resources and services that promote success throughout your child’s school experience. Examples include:

• Academic Assistance: These are tutoring and homework monitoring that support all educational areas, as needed, to promote your child’s achievement and success.

• Enrichment Activities: These are services and activities that provide positive social, cultural, recreational, health and wellness experiences to enrich and expand your child’s understanding of life and involvement in the community.  

• Family and Parental Support Services: These  are services and activities that support your participation in your child’s educational experiences.

• College and Workforce Readiness: These are services and activities that promote workforce awareness, job and/or college readiness, and assistance in the attainment of employment and or funding for college.
